Wu Yaxian received his Master’s degree in Medicine from Anhui University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 2014 and his Ph.D. in Medicine from Shanghai Jiao Tong University in September 2018. He joined Jiangnan University in October 2018 and is currently an Associate Professor at Jiangnan University School of Medicine. Teaching:He primarily teaches courses such as "Pathophysiology" and "Pathology and Pathophysiology." He has supervised three provincial-level student innovation projects. Research:His research interests focus on respiratory diseases, including bacterial infectious lung injury, radiation-induced lung injury, asthma, and pulmonary fibrosis. He aims to explore the mechanisms underlying these conditions and to identify novel drug targets and potential therapeutic drugs. He has led several projects, including those funded by the National Natural Science Foundation for Young Scientists, the Jiangsu Natural Science Foundation for Young Scientists, the China Postdoctoral Science Foundation, and the Jiangsu Province “Double Innovation Doctor” Talent Project. He has published over 20 SCI papers, with 12 as the first author (including co-first author) or corresponding author. Additionally, he has co-applied for and obtained two authorized invention patents. Professional Activities:Wu Yaxian serves as a reviewer for several international journals, includingActa Pharmacologica SinicaandJournal of Cellular Physiology. He is also a Youth Member of the Anti-inflammatory and Immunopharmacology Professional Committee of the Chinese Pharmacological Society and the Deputy Director of the Youth Working Committee of the Jiangsu Province Pathophysiological Society. |
