Dr. Liu Huanliang holds a Ph.D. in Environmental Toxicology from Southeast University and was a joint Ph.D. student at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne (EPFL), supervised by Professor Johan Auwerx. He also served as an international exchange student at Konkuk University in South Korea, under the supervision of Professor Youn-Joo An. He maintains close academic collaborations with institutions in South Korea and Switzerland. To date, he has published 17 SCI papers in leading international journals in environmental toxicology, including Journal of Hazardous Materials, Science of The Total Environment, Chemosphere, and Environmental Research, with 15 papers as the first or corresponding author and one as an ESI highly cited paper. His total cumulative impact factor exceeds 100. He has been the principal investigator for one National Natural Science Foundation of China Youth Fund project and one Jiangsu Province Natural Science Youth Fund project. Research Areas: Environmental-Ecological Toxicology: Utilizing model organisms such as Caenorhabditis elegans and mice, he investigates the safety assessment and toxicological mechanisms of emerging environmental pollutants like microplastics. His research focuses on neurotoxicity, reproductive toxicity, and gut damage at the individual, cellular, and molecular levels. Environmental-Medical Toxicology: Using C. elegans and mice as model organisms, he explores the potential correlation between emerging environmental pollutants and neurodegenerative diseases, specifically Alzheimer's disease. His work aims to uncover the pathogenic mechanisms involved. Contact: Email: liuhuanliang384555@126.com |
