Born in December 1972, Dr. Deng Chao obtained his Bachelor's degree in Microbiology from Wuxi University of Light Industry in 1995 and his Master's degree in Microbiology from Jiangnan University in 2005. He started his career as a lecturer at Jiangnan University's School of Medicine from 2001 to 2007 and continued as a lecturer at the School of Pharmacy from 2007 to 2012. Since 2012, he has been serving as an Associate Professor at Jiangnan University's School of Medicine. Dr. Deng Chao's research primarily focuses on the preparation, structural analysis, immunological, anti-inflammatory, and other physiological activities of active components such as food polysaccharides. He has led and participated in numerous research projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Natural Science Foundation of Jiangsu Province, the Jiangsu Science and Technology Support Program, Jiangsu industry-university-research cooperation projects, national and provincial undergraduate innovation and entrepreneurship training programs, and enterprise cooperation projects, totaling 10 projects. He has published over 40 papers in domestic and international academic journals, including more than 20 SCI papers and over 20 core journal papers. He holds more than 20 national invention patents, with 10 patents granted for invention and 10 for utility models. His contributions have been recognized with two second prizes from the Ministry of Education for scientific and technological progress in higher education, as well as two second prizes from the Jiangsu Science and Technology Awards. Dr. Deng Chao is recognized for his excellence in teaching, having received titles such as Outstanding Educator at Jiangnan University, three-time recipient of "My Favorite Teacher" at Jiangnan University, Spring Warmth Mentor at Jiangnan University's School of Medicine, and Excellent Teacher at Jiangnan University's School of Medicine. He teaches courses in Medical Microbiology and has mentored students who have received national scholarships and awards in academic competitions. |
