Jiang Yuyu graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Clinical Medicine from Zhenjiang Medical College in 1994 and obtained a Ph.D. in Clinical Medicine (Respiratory Diseases) from Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine in 2005. He conducted postdoctoral research on COPD patient activity assessment at the University of Michigan, USA, from 2008 to 2009, followed by further postdoctoral research at the China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences, Guang'anmen Hospital, from 2010 to 2015. From 1994 to 1997, Jiang worked in the Department of Internal Medicine at Wuxi Third People's Hospital. In October 1997, he began his tenure at Jiangnan University Medical School, initially as an Assistant Lecturer (1997-1999), progressing to Lecturer (1999-2007), Associate Professor at the School of Medicine (2007-2012), and Associate Professor at the Nursing Department of Jiangnan University Wuxi Medical College since 2012. He has held positions such as Director of the Nursing Department at the School of Medicine and Assistant to the Dean of Jiangnan University Wuxi Medical College. Currently, he serves as the Director of the Nursing Department and PI of the Chronic Disease Management and Rehabilitation Research Lab at Jiangnan University Wuxi Medical College. Associate Professor Jiang's primary research focuses on remote interventions and management of elderly chronic diseases and rehabilitation. His research interests include electronic health literacy in the elderly, remote exercise rehabilitation management strategies for COPD, development and application of intelligent wearable activity assessment devices and algorithms, and assessment of disability levels for long-term care insurance and nursing of disabled individuals. He has led numerous projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, China Postdoctoral Science Foundation, and various municipal-level projects. He has authored or co-authored 9 SCI papers as first author or corresponding author, including one published in the top journal Journal of Medical Internet Research in telemedicine. He holds four patents as the first inventor in the field of elderly rehabilitation, and he was the primary drafter of the local standard "Wuxi Long-term Care Insurance Disability Level Assessment". He has edited books such as "Theory and Practice of Long-term Care Insurance Disability Level Assessment" and "Advanced Practices in Health Assessment", and contributed to "Community Nursing". He holds two software copyrights and two works registration certificates in the field of remote chronic disease management and long-term care, and his guidance led students to win the Silver Award in the Jiangsu Province University Student Entrepreneurship Competition with the project "Community-Home Pulmonary Rehabilitation Solution". Currently, he serves as the Deputy Secretary-General of the Nursing Psychology Professional Committee of the Chinese Psychological Health Association, Director of the National Higher Education Nursing Education Branch, Executive Committee Member of the Jiangsu Rehabilitation Medicine Association Respiratory Rehabilitation Professional Committee, and Specially Appointed Expert of the Jiangsu Provincial Civil Affairs Department Standard Committee. |
