Sudan pursued her master's studies from 2004 to 2007 at the University of Liège in Belgium, specializing in Blood Immunology and Transfusion Medicine. She then received a doctoral scholarship from the University of Leuven in Belgium from 2007 to 2012, obtaining her Ph.D. in Biomedical and Pharmaceutical Sciences. Her doctoral research focused on the mechanisms underlying non-specific viral infections exacerbating autoimmune hematologic diseases and endotoxic shock. In January 2012, after completing her Ph.D., Sudan joined the University of Copenhagen in Denmark for postdoctoral research. Her research there primarily investigated the role of chromatin regulatory protein PTIP in promoting the development of B cell subsets and the mechanisms of humoral immunity. She was appointed Assistant Professor at the University of Copenhagen in 2016. In December 2017, Sudan returned to China and joined Jiangnan University School of Medicine. Currently, Sudan's research focuses on the regulatory mechanisms of chromatin regulatory proteins in the development and function of hematopoietic stem cells and immune cells. She has published SCI papers in top-tier international journals including PNAS, Genes & Development, Journal of Virology, and Journal of Immunology, totaling 9 papers in Q1/Q2 journals. She also holds a patent from Belgium. |
