Born in April 1988, Zhou Yuetao obtained his Ph.D. in Biology from Eberhard Karls University of Tübingen (a member of the German Elite Universities Consortium) in Germany in 2016. During his doctoral studies from 2014 to 2016, he conducted research in adaptive immunology at the Immunology Department of Tübingen University. In 2018, he was selected for the National Young Backbone Teachers Higher Education Teaching Method Training Program and went to the David Geffen School of Medicine at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) for further training. From 2020 to 2021, he conducted research on acquired immune function at Mayo Clinic in the United States. Since 2016, he has been serving as an Associate Professor at Jiangnan University. Associate Professor Zhou Yuetao's research primarily focuses on the physiological functions and mechanisms of the immune system. His current research interests lie in studying the physiological mechanisms of tissue-specific resident immune cell-related functions during the development of acquired immunity. He has close collaborations with NCCT at Eberhard Karls University of Tübingen, Immunology Department of Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf in Germany, and Carter Center at the University of Virginia in the United States. He has published over 30 papers in renowned international academic journals such as J Biol Chem, J Cell Physiol, with over 500 citations in SCI journals. He serves as a reviewer and guest editor for journals like Frontiers in Immunology and Phytotherapy Research. He has led multiple research projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, Jiangsu Provincial Natural Science Foundation, Jiangsu Provincial Postdoctoral Research Funding Project, and Wuxi Social Development Project, among others. In 2017, he was selected for the Jiangsu "Double Creation" Talent Program. He is a member of the German Physiological Society, Chinese Physiological Society, and serves as the Teaching Committee member and Youth Committee member of Jiangsu Physiological Society. Since 2016, he has been the main lecturer for Jiangsu First-Class Undergraduate Courses, Jiangnan University First-Class Undergraduate Courses, and the Jiangnan University Excellence Course "Physiology". He has contributed to the excellent textbook "Human Physiology" and has received teaching awards such as the Second Prize in the Jiangsu University Micro-Class Competition. |
