Dr. Zhenyu Wang graduated with a Ph.D. from the Technical University of Munich (TUM) in 2001. He is currently a professor and the Dean of the School of Environment and Civil Engineering at Jiangnan University, as well as the Director of the Institute of Environmental Processes and Pollution Control at Jiangnan University. He has been recognized as a Highly Cited Researcher by Clarivate Analytics in 2019, 2020, and 2021, and as an Elsevier China Highly Cited Scholar in 2020. Dr. Wang's research focuses on environmental geochemistry of pollutants, nano-agriculture regulation technology, and environmental applications of biochar. Over the past five years, he has published more than 100 SCI papers, including 10 ESI highly cited papers. He has led more than 10 national-level projects, including the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) Distinguished Young Scholars Fund, NSFC International Cooperation Major Projects, NSFC Key Projects, National 973 Program Projects, and National Basic Research Program Special Projects. He has been awarded the First Prize of the Ministry of Education's Natural Science Award in 2019 (ranked first). Dr. Wang is the leader of the Science and Technology Innovation Team in Jiangsu Province, and the leader of the "Taihu Talent" Innovation Team in Wuxi City. He currently serves as an Associate Editor for the SCI journal Applied Geochemistry, a member of the editorial board for the Journal of Nanobiotechnology, Vice Chairman of the Geological Branch of the Chinese Society for Environmental Sciences, a member of the Ecological Environment Professional Committee of the China Engineering Consulting Association, a member of the Soil Chemistry Professional Committee of the Soil Science Society of China, and a member of the Resource Sustainability and Disaster Reduction Professional Committee of the China Society of Natural Resources. |
